GDriveBox Privacy Policy
GDriveBox is a free, open-source macOS app, published by Ayodele Ajayi, that shows your Google Drive as a folder in Finder. This policy explains what Google user data GDriveBox accesses and what it does with it.
Data GDriveBox accesses
When you sign in, you grant GDriveBox these Google permissions:
- See, edit, create and delete all of your Google Drive files (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive): to list your files and folders, download a file when you open it, upload files you add or change, and move, rename or trash files when you do so in Finder. - Your email address and basic profile (
openid, email, profile): to show which Google account is connected.
How GDriveBox uses the data
Only to provide the folder you see in Finder and keep it in sync with your Drive, at your request. GDriveBox does not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or training AI or machine-learning models, and it does not sell it.
Where data is stored
- On your Mac only. File contents you open, a list of your files' names and versions, and your sign-in tokens are stored on your Mac. Tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain.
- No developer servers. GDriveBox connects only to Google. Your files, file names and tokens are never sent to the developer or to anyone else.
Sharing
GDriveBox does not share, transfer or disclose Google user data to any third party.
Limited Use
GDriveBox's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Deleting your data and revoking access
- Signing out of GDriveBox removes your tokens and the downloaded copies and file list from your Mac. Your files on Google Drive are not affected.
- You can revoke GDriveBox's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Children
GDriveBox is not directed at children under 13.
